Our Story
FPS was founded on a simple belief: people deserve clear answers and real guidance when they need it most.
In 2018, our founder was asked to help a medical examiner’s office in Florida that had been critically understaffed for nearly four years. Like many offices across the country, they had been told the same thing repeatedly: there was no solution. The forensic pathology workforce was stretched thin, and this was simply “the way it was.”
But that didn’t sit right.
Within weeks, qualified forensic pathologists were identified and placed to support the office. What started as a single solution revealed a much larger, nationwide problem, and an opportunity to do something better.

At the time, national reports were already warning that the shortage of forensic pathologists would become one of the most significant challenges facing the medicolegal system. To understand the scope, our founder spent months speaking directly with medical examiner and coroner offices across the country.
The message was consistent: offices were overwhelmed, professionals were stretched thin, and families were left with limited options. Most had accepted that nothing could change.
FPS was created to challenge that assumption.

Founder / CEO
We built FPS to make it easier for people to find answers during the hardest moments of their lives, and to give professionals the support they need to do their work the right way.
By removing logistical and administrative burdens; scheduling, travel, and coordination, FPS made it possible for forensic pathologists to focus on the work they care about most: medicine, accuracy, and truth.
As more professionals joined, another gap became clear. Families and attorneys were seeking independent answers, but there was no central, trusted place to turn.
FPS began supporting these cases as well. The response was immediate. For the first time, families, professionals, and agencies had a clear, independent resource to help them navigate complex and emotional situations.

FPS exists to make it easier for people to find answers during the hardest moments of their lives.
Today, we serve as a first point of contact for:
- Medical examiner and coroner offices needing support
- Professionals seeking sustainable, supported work
- Attorneys requiring independent forensic expertise
- Families searching for clarity, compassion, and guidance
No matter how someone comes to FPS, our role is the same: to guide them clearly, honestly, and respectfully through what comes next.

FPS was founded by Giovanni Trilleras in 2018 after witnessing firsthand the growing strain on the forensic pathology system, and the lack of clear, independent resources available to families and professionals alike. His vision was to build a supportive, integrity-driven organization that prioritizes independence, clarity, and compassion while removing the barriers that prevent people from getting answers.
